right there with you, Ed. And I’m really kind of pissed about it. It’s been hard enough to do the Substack thing, but having to move again, and then roll the dice to see if the new platform is any better than the previous platform? Intercourse this.

I had no idea. Absolutely none. I'm sorry you feel you have to leave Substack though; what happens when the white supremacists drive away everyone not like them from all platforms? So much easier to break than to build; we can't let them win.

Thanks for those kind words. I don't think it's the white supremacists driving me away; it's management at this joint! Anyway, there are plenty of more principled options, so hopefully this won't be a frying pan to fire situation..

I look forward to what you do next!

Please do write a follow-up on where you wind up, Ed. I'm eager to make a change as well but since my Substack isn't exactly profitable, I'm reluctant to port over somewhere else and start spending money on something that doesn't make me any...

Hi, Ed. I know you've done great work/writing and want to see what's up next. But I'm not sure that wherever your future endeavors take you, will be of subscriber-level value to informing my worldview

So thanks for this heartfelt & sensible assessment of the Nazi Opportunity and GodSpeed. Look forward to what you unfold in 2024 & beyond

Thanks, Walt. Wherever I go, there will always be a free or "what you can pay" option.

I realize that freedom of speech is a complex topic. There are limits to what is assumed to be freedom of speech, and some of the laws in this country protect against the abuse of freedom of speech.

I respect your decision to leave this platform because I know you have good reasons to do so (as you explain in your post). I still enjoy some of your writer colleagues' work on this platform and I suppose I've blissfully ignored all the Nazi bullshit (I know it sounds absurd to say that, but I'm an old hat and I have directly suffered from the consequences of Nazism on a different continent).

I didn't grow up in this country so my sense of freedom of speech is a bit different from what we experience here, but moderation has to play a role to make sure dangerous extremists don't take over a platform under the cover of freedom of speech.

In any event, I'll follow your writing wherever it takes you.

Safe sailing!

Jews love censorship and smashing free speech. God forbid should Substack let even Nazis have free speech. I didn't realize the Constitution had a Nazi exemption written into it.
